We are working hard to tackle speeding along A4106 dual carriageway section, Porthcawl. A speed scoping exercise was conducted on Sunday 17th August 2025 with the following outcome:

Time start: 16:49

Time finish: 17:38

Number of vehicles checked: 100

Posted speed limit: 50mph

Average speed: 52.26mph

Highest recorded speed: 98mph

Warning letters will be issued to motorists recorded driving excessively over the posted speed limit.

If you have speeding concerns surrounding a particular area in Porthcawl, please respond to this message with the street/road name. Consideration will be given to conducting speed scoping surveys in areas where there is the greatest concern.
